If the drainage hose between the machine and the greywater tank (or container) is no longer than 2 meters and has a minimum slope of 10 cm per meter, you do not need a lifting pump for operation.
You need an external lifting pump for operation whenever:
(1) the inlet into the tank or container is higher than the outlet of the machine
(2) the slope between the machine and the tank is less than 5 cm per running meter of hose length
(3) the hose length exceeds 2 meters
